Sci-fi Comedy The Second Age of Aquarius Begins Production in December

We have your first details for Staci Layne Wilson‘s new sci-fi comedy The Second Age of Aquarius that’s set to begin production in December. Head inside for the details!

From the Press Release:

Los Angeles, CA, November 22, 2019Weird Science meets The Odd Couple meets Oliver Stone’s The Doors in “The Second Age of Aquarius.” When Alberta magically brings her favorite departed rock n roll poet back to life, he’s everything she dreamed… at first. Turns out Russell Aquarius thinks he’s having the ultimate bad trip and he wants to bring Alberta along for the magic carpet ride!

“The Second Age of Aquarius” will star Christina Jacqueline Calph (Arthur) as Alberta Stevens, and Michael Ursu (Wildness) as Russell Aquarius. “The Second Age of Aquarius” also features Diane Ayala Goldner (Fetish Factory), Jeffrey Henderson (Wendigo), and Keeshan Giles (Curb Your Enthusiasm). There will be a special appearance by Brooke Lewis Bellas (Sinatra Club) as Tawny Stevens.

A teaser featuring Bellas was shot earlier this week. She plays a New Jersey “rocker mom” who’s stuck in the 1980s as evidenced by her big hair, loud clothing, and love of bands like Poison, Def Leppard, and Stryper.“Tawny is the perfect character actor part for me at this point in my career and I have been dying to step into a Mom role. Now, I get to play a Jersey 80s rocker mom and I am so grateful! The supporting cast is comedic and colorful!

“The Second Age of Aquarius” is written by Darren Gordon Smith (Repo! The Genetic Opera) and Staci Layne Wilson (Fetish Factory), and will be directed by Wilson. The duo produces along with Lewis, Nancy Long (Repo! The Genetic Opera), and Leslie S Osborne (K-Bites!).

Tagline: “Some rock stars never die. And they don’t fade away either.”

Ever wonder what it would be like to bring your favorite dead rock star back to life? Alberta certainly has. Since she was a kid, she’s dreamt of a world where ultimate 60s rock icon Russell Aquarius was still alive and writing songs just for her. Now a successful computer programmer, she takes her fandom and wishful thinking a step further and makes a Russell Aquarius avatar. Her loneliness and a freak power outage give her more than she bargains for when sparks fly not just in her computer, but also in reality when Russell’s avatar comes to life! “The Second Age of Aquarius” is based on a short story in the book Sex, Death, Rock n Roll by Smith and Wilson.

“The Second Age of Aquarius” will be filmed in Los Angeles, CA. Principal photography begins in December 2019.
