SCI-FI BLOCK Review: February 2016

Hey gang! I just received the February Sci-fi Block and I wanted to share my thoughts and some pics with all of you. First of all, what is Sci-fi Block? This is a monthly subscription service from Nerd Block that comes in a cool box full of sci-fi themed merchandise. Each box contains 5-6 items. February’s Sci-fi Block includes Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise and more!

Witness the unboxing!

The Sci-fi Block also includes the lobby cards that show you everything that you’ll be getting. The card includes an image and description of each item inside the box. There’s also a teaser card for March that will include Star Wars, Doctor Who and Funko items. I didn’t receive this month’s card so I’m borrowing the teaser from last month.

Behold the goodies!

Check out this neat Star Trek Communicator Note Pad. This is also a Sci-fi Block Exclusive.  I’m guessing this is a $2.00 value.

Up next is the Alien ReAction Figure from Funko. Subscribers had the chance to get one of four figures this month. Ripley, Kane with Facehugger, Kane with Chestbuster and the Alien and I ended up with the big guy. I’m actually not a huge fan of the ReAction figures but my collection is definitely slowly growing. This is a $8.00 value.

There’s also a Funko POP! Vinyl Figure this month. Subscribers got the chance to get one of two figures from Guardians of the Galaxy. You could either get The Collector or Yondu, and I got The Collector. I already had Yondu so this works out just right. This is a $8.00 value.

Next is this really nice Star Wars “Stormtrooper” knit beanie that I will definitely be sporting on the few cold winter days I get here at ABHQ. This costs $24.95 at the Disney Store.

February’s Sci-fi Block included this cool I <3 Star Wars t-shirt and I am digging this tee! The black t-shirt is thick cotton Gildan and the screen printing and art looks really good up close. These shirts would probably cost between $15.00-$25.00 somewhere else (like the mall or Hot Topic) so this is a really good deal. When you subscribe, you let Sci-fi Block know what size shirt you wear so it’s not like you’ll be getting something you can’t use.

The February Sci-fi Block had some cool items but they don’t need to leave out anything, including something as small and simple as  the lobby cards. A monthly Sci-fi Block subscription only costs $19.99. The shipping rates are as follows: ($8.75 to Canada, $9.50 to the U.S. and $12.50 Worldwide). So, for just under $30.00 (shipping included), There’s around $58.00-$68.00 of merchandise inside this month’s box. Bottom line is, Sci-fi Block still comes recommended even they forgot something small month. This February Sci-fi Block has truly been Geek Tested and Nerd Approved. Subscribe to Sci-fi Block today!
