NERD BLOCK Review: July 2015

Hey gang! I received my July Nerd Block this week and I wanted to share my thoughts and some pics with all of you. First of all, what is Nerd Block? This is a monthly subscription service that comes in a cool box full of pop culture themed merchandise. Each box contains 5-6 items. July’s Nerd Block themes include Transformers, Mad Max: Fury Road, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and G.I. Joe.

Witness the unboxing!

My July Nerd Block included the usual card that shows you everything that you’ll be getting. The card includes an image and description of each item inside the box. This is a really nice touch.

Check out this Transformers Dangler.  This little Decepticon figure from Dark of the Moon has a string attached to it so you can hang it from something if you’d like. Ages 3+ A $2.00 value.

After the box office success of Mad Max: Fury Road, his adventures continue in comic book form. Check out this cool #1 issue from Vertigo Comics that features the Nerd Block variant cover art by Jim Lee.   A $4.99 value.

Up next is this neat little Pocket Pop! Avengers: Age of Ultron “Iron Man” keychain with that oversized bobblehead going for it. The colors and detail are great on this little guy. I’m definitely going to be using this! Ages 3+ Approx a $5.00 value.

Who you gonna call? Check out this cool Nerd Block Exclusive Ghostbusters “Money Containment Unit” aka a wallet that resembles the containment unit from the movies. This neat looking wallet is made from sturdy Tyvek material and is nearly indestructible. There’s even room for your drivers license, credit cards or whatever else you want to slide in. I’ve seen similar wallets at my local comic book shop and now I finally have one. I really like this! Approx a $10.00 value.

Check out this cool 4.5″ Nerd Block Exclusive Buffy The Vampire Slayer “Spike” Titan Figure that includes his very own coffee cup. The figure vinyl comes in a nice box that includes artwork inside and outside of the box that features the two other figures fans can collect from the Buffy series. There’s also a window in the front of the box so you can display your figure without taking it out. If that’s your thing. Approx a $9.95 value.

July’s Nerd Block also includes this cool t-shirt that G.I. Joe fans will really dig, or more so fans of Cobra Commander.  The black t-shirt is thick cotton Gildan and the screen printing and art looks really good up close. These shirts would probably cost between $15.00-$25.00 somewhere else (like the mall or Hot Topic) so this is a really good deal. When you subscribe, you let Nerd Block know what size shirt you wear so it’s not like you’ll be getting something you can’t use. This is easily my favorite part about Nerd Block.

Nerd Block is a lot of fun and it’s like getting Christmas or birthday presents every month! A monthly Nerd Block subscription only costs $19.99. The shipping rates are as follows: ($8.75 to Canada, $9.50 to the U.S. and $12.50 Worldwide). So, for just under $30.00 (shipping included), there’s around $52.00-$62.00 worth of goodies inside this month’s box.

Bottom line is, Nerd Block comes highly recommended for nerds and geeks of all ages all around the world. Nerd Block has once again proven why they are still the leader when it comes to these kind of monthly subscription services. This month’s box was awesome!
