NBC renews GRIMM for a Second Season

NBC has renewed its Friday night freshman fantasy drama GRIMM for a second season. The new series has averaged a 1.5 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 4.8 million total viewers for the last placed Peacock network.

Grimm comes from Buffy vets David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf and has been a steady performer even going up against established genre fare Fringe and Supernatural in the time slot. That says something that change is sometimes good and maybe these older series have run their course and fans are looking for newer choices.

Grimm stars David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Russell Hornsby and will return to Friday nights in November.
