‘JOHN CARTER’ Makes Its Budget Back & Taylor Kitsch Sounds Off

Good news for fans of JOHN CARTER today and sad news for the shady farts who like to see great movies like this fail. The movie has made its budget back.  It cost $250 million to make and BoxOfficeMojo reports that it has now taken $254.7 million at the box office in only three and a half weeks. Now, this doesn’t cover marketing for the film which is said to be around $100 million but after it’s all said and done at the box office and when the movie hits Blu-ray and DVD Disney should be seeing green.  I don’t know if we’ll get a sequel but this is a good sign.

I really enjoyed the movie, to the point I saw it twice, the second time pretty much to just support the movie because of all the stupid ass haters wanting it to fail. Star Taylor Kitsch has also sounded off and you can read some of what he shared below.

Here’s what Kitsch said about the movie and being a part of it;

“I’m incredibly proud of it and I would do it all over again. If someone told me that my first lead film will make well over 300 million dollars, that’s a good thing.”

“I know personally I literally did everything possible I could have in John Carter, and in Battleship and in Savages. That’s why I prep so hard, and why I push myself so hard, so I can have no regrets. If it makes 10 bucks at the box office, I still did everything I possibly could. Literally no one will outwork me and that’s the way I approach it.”

“If you are going to pay attention to the materialistic part of it, you also need to pay attention to the fans. For them to have these Facebook pages and rally to get another one going, it’s quite flattering.”

Do you want to see a John Carter sequel?  Sound off and let your voice heard, or in this case let your typing be seen!
