IFC Midnight Knows What Keeps You Alive This August

IFC Midnight has announced the release for the psychological creeper What Keeps You Alive that will be playing in select theaters and available On Demand on August 24th. Head inside for the details!

Every once in a while we come to you guys and say, “Don’t miss this movie!”.  And we always mean it, because we take pride in our releases and we’d like to think we pick some really great movies.  So when we say WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE is one of 2018’s top genre films and a suspense thriller of the highest order, understand that we say it with the utmost sincerity.  Seriously, this movie rocks.  It rocks a lot.  From the co-director of GRAVE ENCOUNTERS and our 2014 release EXTRATERRESTRIAL, WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE is definitely one of those movies you’ll want to tell everyone you know to watch because they’ll thank you when they do.  It’s currently 86% “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes and has been earning raves since its debut at SXSW earlier this year.  It’s out on August 24 and we can’t stress enough how good it is.  You’ll definitely be hearing more about this one.

How much can you really know about another person? The unsettling truth that even those closest to us can harbor hidden dimensions drives this thrillingly unpredictable, blood-stained fear trip. Jackie (Hannah Emily Anderson) and Jules (Brittany Allen) are a couple celebrating their one year anniversary at a secluded cabin in the woods belonging to Jackie’s family. From the moment they arrive, something changes in Jules’ normally loving wife, as Jackie (if that even is her real name) begins to reveal a previously unknown dark side—all building up to a shocking revelation that will pit Jules against the woman she loves most in a terrifying fight to survive. Defying expectations at every turn, Director Colin Minihan delivers a nerve-twisting cat and mouse thriller built around a shattering tale of heartbreak and betrayal.
