HORROR BLOCK Review: February 2016

HORROR BLOCK: Ghastly Goodies, Delivered Monthly. Join Now. Geek Tested. Nerd Approved.

Hey gang! The February Horror Block has finally arrived here at ABHQ and I wanted to share my thoughts and some pics with all of you. First of all, what is Horror Block? This is a monthly mystery subscription service and branch of Nerd Block that comes in a cool box full of horror themed merchandise. Each box contains 5-6 horror themed items. February’s Horror Block themes included four Zombified Exclusives

Witness the unboxing!

A two-sided lobby card is included inside every box which shows you everything that you’ll be getting and a brief description about each item. This is a cool extra and a really nice touch. There’s also an extra card included this month that teases a few of the items that’ll be included inside the March Horror Block.

Behold the goodies!

Issue #164 of Rue Morgue is included inside the February box. Music, movies, videogames and more are all covered in this cool horror mag! I’m definitely curious about The Reflecting Skin and Baskin. This is a $9.95 value.

This Severed Finger Wine Stopper is another Horror Block Exclusive that’s inside the February box. I don’t drink wine but I know plenty of people that do. Approx a $4.95 value. Like what you see so far? Subscribe to Horror Block now!

I’m digging this! This Zombie Bottle Opener is another cool Horror Block Exclusive and one that I’ll definitely be using. The box is also cool. I’m just going to leave it laying around to see if it strikes up any interesting conversations. Approx a $9.95 value.

I’ll probably never use this but it definitely got my attention and is fun to look at. This Zombie Egg Cup was included inside the February box and is another Horror Block Exclusive. A cup, spoon and toast cutter are all included. Brains and eggs anyone? Approx a $14.95 value.

The February Horror Block also included this cool Wings and Skull t-shirt. The black Gildan t-shirt is made of thick cotton and the screen printing and art looks really good up close. I’m guessing each shirt would cost you between $15.00-$25.00 at the mall, so this is a really good deal right here. When you subscribe, you let them know what size shirt you wear, it’s that easy.

A monthly Horror Block subscription only costs $19.99. The shipping rates are as follows: ($8.75 to Canada, $9.50 to the U.S. and $12.50 Worldwide). This month’s subscription estimated between $60.00-$70.00 worth of merchandise inside the box. You even get a tracking link so you can keep up with your Horror Block once it’s shipped. I still have an issue with their slow shipping and hope they can get this corrected one of these days.

Bottom line is, Horror Block comes recommended for horror fans all over the world and this February box was loaded with some fun exclusives! All you have to do to subscribe is click on the Horror Block links or the banner at the top of the page. These make great gifts!
