DO IT YOURSELF was written and directed by Dimitris Tsilifonis and stars Konstadinos Aspiotis, Makis Papadimitriou, Mirto Alikaki, Christos Loulis, Argyris Xafis, Panos Koronis, Themis Panou and Aris Antonopoulos.

Small-time crook and ex-con Alkis is double-crossed by an ex-cellmate and finds himself trapped in a working porn studio where his shady, trigger-happy accomplices have no intention of letting him out alive. The disheveled crook has only one option – to escape by any means possible.

The front of the packaing features the artwork you see at the top of the page and the back includes movie details, some images and specs. The DVD disc also features some matching artwork. Inserting the disc, the menu screen was simple and easy to navigate. The picture and sound quality for this standard-definition release were really good. I didn’t have any issues with the video and audio.

Bottom line is, Do It Yourself ended up being an entertaining crime-thriller (with a sense of humor) that’s driven by this small cast of characters. The story is interesting but it’s also a complex one so you better be paying attention with this one or you could get lost in the mix. There’s a whole lot going on and every single time a new character comes along it means another twist has been introduced but it all comes down to one thing – survival. It’s all about this one man who’s trying to survive this insane situation he’s found himself trapped in. The movie is full of betrayal, deception, this troublesome video tape and even a porno but in the end this central character finds a way to make it out alive – of course, getting to this point is the fun part. Do It Yourself is now available on DVD.
