Bryan Fuller Talks Possible New ‘STAR TREK’ Series

Writer/producer and Star Trek fan, Bryan Fuller recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about possibly bringing STAR TREK back tot he small screen.  Fuller, who has been behind series like “Pushing Daisies”, “Heroes” and the upcoming  “Hannibal” and Munsters reboot “Mocking Bird Lane” so he’s the guy to do it, or at least one of the guys since he says he’s talked to Bryan Singer about bringing Star Trek back to TV.

Here’s what Filler told EW.

“Bryan and I are big fans of Trek and have discussed a take on what we would do, and we would love to do it.  I don’t think anything is going to happen in any official capacity until after the next movie comes out. And I’m sure it would be wisely under J.J. Abrams’ purview of what happens. He’s the guardian of Trek right now.”

Abrams’ untitled Star Trek sequel will release on May 17th, 2013.

Do you guys think it’s time for a new series? What direction would you want them to take it in?
